Kati found yoga through her mother, who has been teaching Ashtanga yoga since 1994. In 2013, after completing law school at UNC-Chapel Hill, Kati found herself out of shape and out of her mind with stress. She gravitated toward Bikram yoga and completed her first Bikram teacher training in 2015. However, when it came to quieting the mind and taming stress, it didn't take long for Kati to realize that linking breath with movement was the most beneficial method of practice for her!
Her love of Vinyasa yoga led her to complete her RYT-200 Vinyasa training at Asheville Yoga Center in 2016. Kati is passionate about yoga and has been teaching full-time since 2015. She is enthusiastic about the therapeutic benefits of hot yoga for athletes and has been working with elite high school, college and professional basketball players since 2016. Kati's teaching emphasizes the role of the breath in calming the mind. She incorporates different pranayama and mindfulness techniques that have been helpful in her own life and practice into her classes. Kati believes that yoga is magic. Magic that you create for yourself in the present moment.
