Week 4 of Take Flight Arm Balancing Series: Flying Pigeon & One-legged Crow
Time & Location
About The Event
Learn to take flight with this integrated arm balancing series designed to shift your body off the mat and into your hands. Discover the fundamentals of proper alignment and unearth the foundations of balance in YOUR body. Thoughtfully sequenced, each session is designed to lay the proper groundwork for selected arm-balancing asanas. Core, strength, and pranayama exercises will be included to fire up your body, breath, and initiate muscle memory.
Sessions will begin with 30 minutes of integration and warm up to wake, activate, strengthen and lengthen particular parts of your body, followed by the breakdown — tips, tricks, the practice of, and “how to’s” for approaching liftoff.
A fifteen-minute flow will succeed to incorporate the selected arm balance into a flow as it may be offered in routine yoga class. Sessions will conclude with a deep stretch portion followed by a 5 minute guided meditation in corpse pose.
This series is specifically integrated so that each class fosters knowledge and strength to build, evolve, and support the classes to come. Leave your reservations off the mat and give yourself permission to play with flight. See you on the mat.
