Karen has been practicing yoga since 2009, initially incorporating it as part of her group exercise rotation at the Y. She loved how yoga made her feel stronger and more flexible. As a busy Mom, she began to crave time on her mat. Yoga, more than any other workout, had become a way for Karen to relieve anxiety and stress. Once she found hot power yoga, she was completely hooked! Her daily yoga practice has helped her to achieve a healthy body and more peace of mind. Karen completed her certification at Y2 Yoga in Charlotte, NC in 2020. She teaches with an energetic and lighthearted style and loves playlists with a good beat! Her goal is to teach creative sequences that allows students to feel successful in their yoga practice. Aside from yoga, Karen loves to cook, travel and spend time with her husband Danny and son, Dylan.
